I led the redesign of our purchase and payments flow using Square’s payment infrastructure, streamlining POS and financial reporting for 200+ operators. The new system reduced staff friction, cut training time from hours to minutes, and improved transaction efficiency, resulting in a seamless, branded checkout experience.
Our team built a custom POS that ran on Square Stand hardware while leveraging Square’s APIs for payment processing. This allowed operators to take advantage of Square’s reliable payments ecosystem, including familiar hardware, secure processing, and financial tooling, while using a purpose-built, industry-specific POS tailored to their unique operational needs.
The core challenge was integrating third-party infrastructure without compromising our product’s UX. By simplifying complex workflows and designing a responsive POS that worked seamlessly across phones, Square Stand hardware, tablets, and desktops, we made it faster to take orders, split payments, and manage sales. The result was a more intuitive, scalable experience that supported daily operations and business growth.
